Janeisy Castro (she/her) is the Senior Associate Attorney at Santana Residency Law, P.A., a Miami-based immigration law firm dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate the U.S. immigration system.

Based in Miami, Florida, Attorney Janeisy focuses her practice exclusively on immigration law, representing clients in asylum cases, family-based immigration petitions, waivers, removal proceedings (deportation defense), and other complex immigration matters.
EDUCATION
Attorney Janeisy attended the Honors College at Miami Dade College before earning her Bachelor’s degree in English from Florida International University. She later earned her Juris Doctor from the Florida International University College of Law, where she served as a Senior Staff Member of Law Review.
While in law school, Janeisy gained valuable hands-on immigration law experience as a legal intern for the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor (OPLA) at the United States Department of Homeland Security. This experience provided her with a deeper understanding of immigration proceedings and the legal complexities individuals may face when navigating the U.S. immigration system.

Admitted to the Florida Bar in 2017, Attorney Janeisy has devoted her legal career exclusively to immigration law. She works closely with individuals and families seeking lawful status in the United States, helping clients understand their options, build strong cases, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity. Her work includes helping families reunite, defending individuals in removal proceedings, pursuing asylum protection, and assisting clients with waivers and other immigration solutions.
NATIONALITY
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Janeisy comes from a family of immigrants and always knew she wanted to practice immigration law. Having witnessed firsthand how immigration challenges impact individuals and families, she understands the emotional, financial, and legal stress many immigrants experience. That personal connection inspired her to dedicate her career to helping people navigate the process during some of the most uncertain and life-changing moments of their lives.
Outside of her legal practice, Janeisy enjoys spending time with her husband and children. She also loves traveling and experiencing different cultures with her family, an experience that has deepened her appreciation for the diverse backgrounds, stories, and goals of the clients she proudly represents every day.
